Fifteen boats competed in this years Yellowtail Tournament. There were 40 anglers competing and 11 fish weighed in. There were lots of stories of wrong decisions and just plain bad luck. The winners did not have to travel far and were rewarded with White Sea Bass and Halibut catches while waiting for the elusive Yellowtail.
Top boat was RACHEL with a 76.7 pound total of three fish. They were the only boat to weigh in three fish. Second was SCOTTS JOHNNY with a 59.8 pound total for their two fish. Third was DOGHOUSE with a 53.8 pound total. There were no fish caught by the Female Anglers. Madison Rooney was the top Junior and our Third Place Overall winner. She weighed in a 30.9 pound Yellowtail caught not very far North of where she caught that White Sea Bass during the Halibut/White Sea Bass tournament of Last Month. Top place overall was Clayton Dumsdorff on Scotts Johnny with a 38.2 pound Yellowtail. Second Place was Pat Noll on Doghouse with a 31.3 pound Yellowtail. Third Place as mentioned before was Madison Rooney with her 30.9pound catch. The male anglers in the tournament points standings were Clayton Dumsdorff first, Dan Bailey with a 27.6 pound fish and Jeff Behr third with a 25.9 pound catch. The awards figured out to be $160 to Clayton Dumsdorff for first, $96 for Pat Noll and $64 for Madison Rooney. The $190 Jackpot went to Clayton Dumsdorff. The cash cards are already at Dana Landing for pickup for the winners. The check will be in the Awards Folder by Tuesday 27 July 2010. Thank you all for participating and working hard at this tournament.
